PSHE - Washing hands6 March 2020 (by admin) |
KS1 learnt how to wash hands like doctors and nurses this week in their PSHE lessons.
Through the glitter experiment, children were able to learn about how germs can spread. They were able to see how the tiny germs (in our case, glitter) could transfer from our hands onto each other, school equipment, door handles and everything that we came into contact with.
With this, we then learnt how to wash our hands really carefully with soap and warm water without forgetting our thumbs or in between each of our fingers. We followed the order of:
- Wet
- Get Soap
- Scrub
- Rinse
- Dry
Did you know that we should wash our hands to the time of being able to sing 'Happy Birthday' through twice?
Ask your expert children to show you how to wash your hands properly.
