Take an interest in your child’s favourite apps or sites.
To be able to guide your child with their Internet use, it is important to understand how children use the Internet and know what they like to do online. Let your child show you which websites they like visiting and what they do there. Regular, positive conversations about your child’s online activity can make it easier to discuss both positive and negative experiences in the future. If they show you something you think is unsuitable, listen to the reasons why your child wants to use the app or site so that you can talk about these together.
