History - Ancient Egypt14 March 2025 (by admin) |
This week in history, we have been diving into the fascinating world of Ancient Egypt by exploring the question: "How do pyramids help us know so much about life in Ancient Egypt?"
We started by examining the incredible paintings discovered in ancient tombs, discussing how these artworks reveal details about daily life, culture, and beliefs from thousands of years ago. The children were amazed at how much historians have learned just by studying these images!
To deepen our understanding, we watched videos about Ancient Egyptian society, learning that people had specific roles depending on their social class. The children were particularly interested in how craftsmen, farmers, scribes, and pharaohs all played important roles in shaping Egyptian civilisation.
Following this, the children conducted their own research on different social classes and their jobs, using a variety of historical sources to compare daily life in Ancient Egypt.
