In Voyagers and Discoverers, we have started to learn about the linkages and levers that are used in moving picture books. We will eventually making our own moving picture page.
We have been looking at and creating our own mechanisms that use linkages and levers. The children revisited their DT learning from KS1, where they made their own moving pictures using sliders, pivots and rotating wheels. They had to create complex mechanism this time. This required; listening carefully to instructions, supporting each other and definitely resilience and problem solving. We are extremely proud of them and how they tackled this challenge.
