Children in Years 5/6 spent the day looking at foods from different countries, considering what makes a healthy and varied diet and the seasonality of food.
They had great fun making a South American inspired vegetable chili and tortillas and we were really impressed that nearly everyone gave it a go and tried it! We saw some excellent chopping, slicing, dicing, mixing, kneading and cooking and we were very impressed with the children's consideration of food hygiene. What a lovely day - great work Inventors and Pioneers!
