KS1 were inspired by a counting poem in their maths lesson today.
KS1 read the poem 'Maths Test' by Alex Wharton about a maths question involving a boy packing a rather large picnic. We decided that we should make our own picnics and filled out picnic blankets with all our favourite foods and drinks. We used our rather large picnics to create a list poem by counting how many tens and ones we had of each item and recording this just like Alex did in his poem. It was a lot of fun, but left us feeling very hungry!
