KS1 had a fantastic day out at Stover Country Park learning about and exploring all the different habitats.
What a lovely day for our school trip! KS1 could not have asked for better weather to be exploring Stover Country Park. We went pond dipping and managed to catch newt tadpoles, dragonfly nymphs, water-boatman and water beetles that whizzed around our buckets so quickly they nearly made us dizzy! We also went on a habitat walk all around the lake exploring and learning about the different habitats and the plants and animals that live there. We were very surprised to find out that coots have ginormous feet! We ate our lunch in a huge, wooden hut and even got to feed the ducks with some special duck food.
