Children in Inventors and Pioneers have had a great time celebrating World Book Day this week!
The children talked enthusiastically about their love of reading and shared their favourite stories. It was fantastic to see all the effort the children went to with costumes and to see how excited they were to bring the characters from their stories to life. As well as sharing their favourite stories, we spent the morning looking at the book 'Flooded'. All the children really enjoyed the story and were able to create their own short drama pieces where they acted out what their day may look like if the school/town around them were flooded. We've thoroughly enjoyed seeing the children so animated and enthusiastic about our new class read and so engaged in reading. A massive thank you to all involved with costume making and to all who came to share a book with our children at the end of the day!
