Following on from our key text, The Three Bears, the children were invited to bring their bears and soft toys to school.
The children had a super day of learning, accompanied by their bears!
We used our bears to count, sort and group; a great opportunity to up level our noticing skills too.
During the day we developed our observational skills, combined with exploring the medium of charcoal to draw our bears.
We loved sharing photographs from home to find out about our parents' bears. Mr Killoran even made a visit to tell us all about his special Ted! This was a great opportunity to develop our chronology skills and sequence the bears on a time line from old to new.
Research on the internet helped us to find out about the first teddy bear. A super day of learning!
Of course, there were lots of opportunities during the day to share songs, poems and learn new vocabulary.
