This half term we are investigating plants and animals.
'What the Ladybird Heard' is our key text for the next few weeks.
As a hook into our learning, the Ladybird sent us a set of challenges!
Our first challenge was to use our listening skills to identify different animal sounds. Our second challenge was to create a map to help the Ladybird navigate her way around the farmyard.
As a group, we created our class map using a variety of found resources to represent the different features on the farm. After that we used our brilliant talk skills to direct the Ladybird on a safe route around the farm!
Back in the classroom we drew and labelled our own maps. Great use of soundtalking and finding the digraph sounds in words too!
