The children began their art learning for this half term using the artist Kandinsky for inspiration.
After learning about abstract art and the life of Wassily Kandinsky, the children used one of his most famous paintings as a WAGOLL to explore creating different coloured circles.
Once they had practised, they chose some of their favourite styles and applied this skill to create the base for their loom weaving project, which they will continue throughout the unit. They were fantastic at talking about which colours they chose and why and how the colours made them feel.
