The Investigators kicked off their week by planning and carrying out an investigation into the conditions that affect germination.
The children planned investigations to answer three different questions - Do seeds need water to germinate? Do seeds need light to germinate? Do seeds need heat to germinate? Once the children had planned their investigation they made their predictions based on the knowledge that they had learnt so far before getting stuck into their favourite part - the muddy planting! We spoke about making the tests, fair tests and what we would keep the same and what would be the thing that we change. We are looking forward to checking our seeds over the next few days to see if our predictions are correct.
