As a hook into our literacy non-fiction unit, we helped the bears to make porridge. First we had to sort the 'ingredients' and 'equipment' into two sets.
We were great at reading the instruction cards, then using our talk and signing skills to sequence each step. Great Solveadactyls!
As part of our technology learning, we used the microwave to cook the oats. We 'noticed' how the mixture had changed and had soaked up all the milk. The porridge was now sticky and gloopy!
The best part was tasting the porridge as well as adding some of our favourite toppings!
