The children told us all about their half term break this week and then used their phonic skills to write short sentences about it. There was lots of independent writing taking place which was lovely to see! We were also thinking about healthy food and about making healthy choices at lunchtimes. We had fun singing our 'Days of the Week' and 'Months of the Year' songs and sorting ourselves into our birthday months! We also enjoyed a visit from the local family history group. They very kindly brought in a selection of old toys, games and books to share with us. Before their visit we planned our own questions for what we wanted to find out. It was very interesting to see how different the toys were... and no, they didn't have the internet to play games on!
